Iran has stated that any potential improvement in its relations with the United States depends on Washington changing its "hostile" policies, regardless of who becomes president. Nasser Kan’ani, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, emphasized at his weekly press conference that the US government has maintained a hostile approach towards Iran over the years. Kan’ani stressed that a change in US behavior is necessary to improve bilateral relations.
Kan’ani also addressed the situation in Gaza, condemning Israel’s actions against Palestinians and calling on the international community to stop Israel’s war machine to restore regional peace. He pointed out that the US, as a supporter of Israel, bears responsibility for preventing the escalation of tensions in the region.
Additionally, Kan’ani expressed Iran's willingness to boost relations with Europe if European countries act independently of Washington's policies. He highlighted that Iran is ready to develop relations based on dynamic diplomacy, common interests, and mutual respect with countries interested in improving ties with Iran.
